Maine Historical Society Hosts Conversation with Adam Cote

Maine Historical Society (MHS) will host a conversation with Adam Cote and Steve Bromage, MHS Executive Director. Guests will learn about issues currently facing Maine’s veterans including job and housing security, and have an opportunity to ask their own questions from Cote, an attorney at Drummond Woodsum, 20-year veteran of the Maine Army National Guard, and renewable energy advocate presently considering a run in the 2018 Maine gubernatorial race.

Cote is one of the individuals recognized in MHS’s Veterans’ Voices exhibition, on view through April 29, 2017. There are approximately 127,000 veterans living in Maine today, and their histories are as diverse as their backgrounds. Veterans' Voices features first- person stories from veterans spanning World War II to Afghanistan—all ordinary people who have done extraordinary things in trying times. Veterans' Voices is the inaugural exhibition drawn from My Maine Stories, MHS’s new online storytelling portal opening Maine Memory Network to individual contributors to share and archive personal histories.
