We are pleased to welcome Alan MacEwan as a shareholder and member of Drummond Woodsum's Business Services Group. He brings extensive experience to the firm representing a wide range of entities and individuals on a variety of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, governance matters, entity selection and formation, and general corporate and commercial transactions. Prior to joining Drummond Woodsum, Alan practiced for over 25 years at Verrill Dana, where he chaired its Business Law Group.
Alan is one of a very small group of attorneys who served on the Editorial Committee of the American Bar Association’s Negotiated Acquisitions Committee which oversaw the publication of the Model Stock Purchase Agreement, Second Edition; the ABA’s largest selling publication.
He is an Adjunct Professor at Boston University School of Law and has been recognized by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, and New England Super Lawyers for his work in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions law. Alan was named Lawyer of the Year in 2015 for the Closely Held Businesses category in Maine.
