Employment and Labor Law. This workshop will discuss the Farm Labor Standards Act and how it applies to the agricultural sector. We will cover the difference between an employee, intern, volunteer, apprentice, and independent contractor, including state and/or federal law concerning minimum wage, overtime, workers' compensation, and unemployment insurance. Attendees should leave with a general understanding of how to comply with state and federal employment law.
