Lisa Magnacca is back!

Lisa Magnacca first graced the halls of Drummond Woodsum as a summer associate in 2011, between her second and third years of law school at the University of Maine School of Law.   She made an impression on us then as a hard-working, smart lawyer-to-be.  Now she's back as an attorney, having graduated summa cum laude last spring.   Her law practice will focus primarily on business and commercial law matters, including commercial lending, community development and real estate matters.

Lisa has been busy, and not just with course work.  While in law school, she served as a judicial extern with Judge Kermit V. Lipez of the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and as an extern with the Appellate Division of the United States Attorney’s office in Portland.  In addition, she served as Articles Editor for the Maine Law Review, and as a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant, instructing first-year law students in oral advocacy and legal research and writing.  She was also a member of the Women’s Law Association and the Maine Association for Construction and Real Estate Law.

Upon graduation, Lisa was awarded the Maine Law Faculty Significant Achievement Award, which is presented to graduates in recognition of significant academic performance and overall contribution to the school.  Prior to attending law school, Lisa worked for many years in different roles for a prominent affordable housing development and management company in Maine.

Welcome, Lisa!
