Responsibilities:

  • Providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities
  • Answering and routing incoming calls
  • Greeting visitors
  • Directing guests to appropriate individuals
  • Coordinating mail delivery and pick-up
  • Additional duties as assigned

Help Desk Technician

Drummond Woodsum is seeking a full-time Help Desk Technician. This position will be based in our Portland, ME office, with occasional needs to travel to our offices in Portsmouth and Manchester, NH. Prior experience in a legal setting is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person who has a combination of technical skills and experience, along with the motivation and ability to learn new skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site and telephone support to employees and guests for company issued/approved computer systems, devices, applications, or other related issues
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in demanding situations, and respond positively and accurately to a variety of requests
  • Troubleshoot problems and provide resolutions, or perform additional research if needed to resolve issues
  • Create and manage detailed documentation of requests and troubleshooting efforts used

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent technical knowledge of standard hardware, software, and peripheral accessories
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Present ideas and technical information to our employees in a user-friendly manner
  • Be self-motivated, personally committed to excellence, and interested in contributing in a teamwork-oriented environment
  • Experience with document management systems and legal services technology is a plus
