Maine Real Estate & Development Association Announces Gary D. Vogel as Vice President

The Maine Real Estate & Development Association (MEREDA) announced today in a press release that longtime member, Gary Vogel of Drummond Woodsum, has been elected Vice President.

experience with MEREDA’s legislative history, combined with his knowledge of
development challenges in Maine from his own law practice, provides MEREDA with
a breadth and depth of knowledge that benefits all MEREDA members.

Gary has served on the MEREDA board of directors since 2004, acting as chair of the Public Policy Committee for more than 12 years. During Gary’s tenure as chair of the legislative committee, MEREDA realized many legislative accomplishments benefiting Maine and real estate development in Maine.

“We owe Gary a debt of gratitude for his dedication to his voluntary leadership role with MEREDA’s Public Policy Committee, and are excited to have him participate now in this new leadership role as Vice President”, says Shelly R. Clark, Vice President of Operations for MEREDA.

Gary’s practice at Drummond Woodsum is concentrated in real estate, real estate development, financing transactions, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and corporate and commercial law. His practice often involves developments utilizing the Federal Low- Income Housing Tax Credit, Federal and State Historic Tax Credits and New Market Tax Credits.
