Bill Stockmeyer to Lead School and Local Government Group

Drummond Woodsum, a full-service law firm with offices in Maine and New Hampshire, announced today that it has named E. William Stockmeyer to head the firm's School and Local Government Practice Group.

Bill will continue to serve as head of the firm’s public finance subgroup, representing school and municipal clients as bond counsel and on a wide range of financial and business matters, including budgetary matters, state education funding, reorganization, construction contracts, public bidding and procurement, real estate, and board conflicts of interest. As Practice Group Leader, Bill assumes responsibility for one of the leading school law practices in the country.

Bill earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School Law, and his M.S. and A.B from Cornell University. He is rated AV, the highest rating awarded by Martindale Hubbell, and is listed in Best Lawyers in America in the categories of Public Finance Law and Education Law. He has been a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers for over 20 years. Bill is a Fellow of the American College of Bond Counsel, and he is listed in the "Red Book" of municipal bond attorneys.
