Scarborough Land Trust Elects Rick Shinay as the New President of the Board

Scarborough Land Trust (SLT) elected a new President and two new members to its Board of Directors at its Annual Meeting on March 9, held at Camp Ketcha. Over 90 people turned out for a presentation by Broadturn Farmers Stacy Brenner and John Bliss entitled, “Food, Farms and our Travels Abroad.” In recognition of his four years as President of the Board, the land trust presented Paul Austin with a pastel of Scarborough Marsh created by Scarborough artist Christine Beneman.

Rick Shinay was elected as the new President of the Board. Shinay is a real estate attorney at Drummond Woodsum in Portland, and has been an SLT board member for many years. He recently served as Board Clerk, and is a member of the Board Acquisition Committee. He has long been active in Scarborough town planning, and has served on the Planning Board and several comprehensive planning and open space committees. He currently serves on the Scarborough Long Range Planning Committee. He is also a board member at the Scarborough Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO).
