Drummond Woodsum is pleased to announce that Adrianne E. Fouts, Rodney A. Lake, Laurel A. McClead, Keriann Roman and Christopher G. Stevenson have all become shareholders of the firm, effective January 1, 2016.
Adrianne E. Fouts joined Drummond Woodsum in 2012 and is a member of the Trial Services Group. Adrianne works primarily in the area of commercial litigation, representing clients in both federal and state trial and appellate courts. She also advises the firm’s higher education clients with respect to student affairs and Title IX compliance issues. Adrianne earned her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law, magna cum laude, and her B.A. from Mount Holyoke College.
Rodney A. Lake is a tax and business lawyer who focuses primarily on representing businesses and owners in transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, financings, restructurings and dispositions, as well as in tax controversies before taxing authorities. Rodney has particular expertise in international tax matters, regularly advising businesses and individuals in cross-border tax structuring and compliance issues. He earned his LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law, his J.D. from Boston College Law School, and his B.A. from Tufts University. New England Super Lawyers has named Rodney a Rising Star based on his expertise in tax law.
Laurel A. McClead is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Group. She regularly counsels public and private employers of all sizes on compliance with state and federal employment laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as well as state wage and hour, discrimination and leave laws. She earned her J.D. from University of Richmond School of Law, cum laude, and her B.A. from McGill University. Laurel is admitted to practice law in both New Hampshire and Maine and is recognized as a "Rising Star" in Employment and Labor Law by New England Super Lawyers.
Keriann Roman joined the firm in 2012 and practices in the firm’s Municipal and Trial Services Groups. Keriann works with numerous municipalities on a variety of issues including land use matters, municipal finance, tax abatements, town warrants and employment matters. She also represents individuals and entities before municipal boards in connection with site plan and subdivision applications, variance requests, and zoning changes. As a member of the Trial Services Group, she practices in all areas of civil litigation, including appeals. Keriann has argued before the N.H. Supreme Court, conducted trials and argued numerous motions before the state trial courts, and has appeared before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Christopher G. Stevenson joined the firm in 2008 and practices with the firm’s Business Services and Public Sector Groups. He specializes in the areas of tax and employee benefits law. Chris is also a certified public accountant and, prior to attending law school, spent four years in public accounting. He regularly advises employers on the tax aspects of general business transactions, as well as the establishment and administration of a wide range of employee benefit plans. Chris also has extensive experience helping employers comply with the Affordable Care Act.
