Balancing Interests When Student Rights Collide

Given the diversity of a public school environment, there will inevitably be times when the rights of one student collide with the rights of another. For example, free speech rights may conflict with laws preventing bullying and harassment, or the right of one student to have the assistance of a service animal may conflict with the right of another student with a life threatening allergy to animal dander.  This clinic will examine how schools should draw the very difficult lines in these areas to protect the rights of all students.
