Rockingham County Bar Inducts Thomas R. Watson into “The Loyal Order of the Rock”

At the annual meeting of the Rockingham County Bar Association on May 27, Portsmouth attorney Tom Watson was inducted into the “Loyal Order of the Rock”, a lifetime achievement award that was established to honor attorneys who have practiced law for at least 30 years, demonstrating their love of law and dedication to clients, colleagues and community. The ceremony was held at the Portsmouth Country Club with the Honorable Jennifer A. Lemire making the presentation.

When asked about this award Tom said, “It is a privilege to receive this honor from my colleagues. I am humbled by it.”

Attorney Watson is a shareholder in the law firm of Drummond Woodsum in Portsmouth, NH, concentrating his practice in the areas of business law, civil litigation and real estate. He handles business start-ups, acquisitions, finance and general corporate and commercial transactions. Tom also represents buyers, sellers, developers and financial institutions in the acquisition and development of real estate. He is a long time and successful litigator with a practice that includes personal injury, marital and a wide range of commercial and contract disputes and has extensive experience serving as a mediator resolving differences prior to or during litigation.

A graduate and former trustee of the University of New Hampshire School of Law, Tom continues to serve on the boards of the New Hampshire Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice and numerous community and nonprofit boards in the Portsmouth area.
