In this hands-on training, we are going to present various real life scenarios with participants working through problems, identifying issues, planning investigations and writing discipline letters.
Attendees will learn how to:
- Assess potential discrimination claims
- Review and apply relevant policies and laws
- Perform thorough investigations and avoid potential pitfalls
- Write investigation reports and letters
- Make the right employment decisions, including possible discipline or discharge
- Defend against grievances or suits
This practical training has been developed to provide outstanding employment law skills for human resource professionals working for tribes in Indian Country. We recognize the importance of a knowledgeable team and want to emphasize training your staff strengthens tribal sovereignty. Consider sending multiple people from your human resource department and a front line supervisor, registration is $189 per person.
These training sessions qualify for THRP (Tribal Human Resource Professional) certification.
