Jeremy Fischer joins Drummond Woodsum

We are pleased to welcome Jeremy Fischer as the firm's newest attorney, where his practice focuses on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and commercial litigation. 

Jeremy regularly represents financial institutions in federal and state proceedings, including actions to recover business equipment, commercial foreclosures, and receiverships.  He also has substantial experience representing clients in bankruptcy courts in New England and across the country in a wide variety of matters, including stay relief actions, cash collateral proceedings, distressed asset sales, plan confirmations, and adversary proceedings involving preferences and fraudulent transfers.

In addition to his legal work, Jeremy has a distinguished record of public service.  He served three terms in the Maine Legislature, where he was the House Chairman of the Appropriations Committee.  He currently teaches business law at the University of Maine School of Law and serves on the board of directors of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce and the board of visitors of the University of Maine School of Law.

He has been recognized by Chambers USA and New England Super Lawyers Rising Stars for his work in bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and commercial litigation.
