Andreea joined Drummond Woodsum's Business & Corporate Practice Group in the spring of 2016. Her practice focuses on corporate transactions and securities regulatory matters. Andreea represents a diverse client base of businesses, from local to international, on all aspects of transactions including buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, financings and capital raising. In addition, she counsels clients on federal and Blue Sky securities laws and regulations, corporate governance and compliance issues and navigating business formation decisions. She also regularly advises nonprofit corporations on obtaining tax exempt status and governance matters. Andreea's broad experiences enable her to approach each client's challenges with a fresh perspective to identify ways to build solid, comprehensive solutions.
Andreea is passionate about the greater Portland community. She has presented to local businesses and attorneys on various corporate and commercial law topics and currently serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine. Previous to her work in Portland, Andreea was a summer associate at a boutique firm in Paris, France. She earned a concentration in Business Organizations and Finance Law at Boston University School of Law and served on the Review of Banking and Financial Law's board as articles editor. Andreea graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University Maryland. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Pi Delta Phi French National Honor Society. Andreea is fluent in French and Romanian.
Andreea grew up in Romania and New Hampshire, and now lives in the Portland area with her husband Denis where they enjoy exploring the great outdoors alongside their precocious hound-lab mix Lola.
We would like to hear from you, but please understand that we cannot represent you until we resolve conflicts of interest that may exist and agree to the terms of representation. Also, we cannot treat unsolicited information as confidential. Accordingly, please do not send us any information about any matter that may involve you until we send you a written confirmation that we represent you.
The best way for you to initiate a possible representation is to call us at either our Maine office (207-772-1941) or our New Hampshire office (603-433-3317). We will put you in touch with a lawyer suited to handle the general nature of your matter, and that lawyer will take you through our conflict of interest procedure. When you receive an engagement letter from that lawyer, you will be our client, and we may exchange information freely.

You recognize that transmission of such information is not solicited by us through this website, and does not initiate a prospective attorney client relationship, since, among other things, there is no reasonable basis to believe a confidential relationship may be formed by unsolicited email from a party we have not identified. Our review of your information transmitted in this manner, even if you submitted it in a good faith effort to retain us, and, further, even if it is designated as confidential, does not preclude us from representing another client directly adverse to you, even in a matter where that information could and will be used against you.
