Ben Marcus assists businesses throughout North America in all aspects of their most important undertakings: From raising funding to exit through sale. His clients do business in Florida, the Mid-Atlantic region, New England and Canada. Representative industries include commercial lenders, the pulp and paper industry, software design and licensing, hospitality, aquaculture, real estate development, merchant transmission development and wireless communications. Ben is a highly experienced transactional lawyer who partners with his clients to identify and resolve the critical issues that arise in each proposed business transaction. As an experienced business reorganization specialist, Ben has unique experience assisting in the purchase of businesses that are insolvent or in reorganization proceedings under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Ben also assists commercial lenders to workout and restructure their most significant troubled lending relationships.

In 2007 Ben was elected to the American College of Bankruptcy, an honor offered only to the most accomplished practioners in any given field. Ben is included in the publication The Best Lawyers in America and was selected as one of the top 100 lawyers in New England by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2014. In 2010 Best Lawyers named him Lawyer of the Year in the category of Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Law. In 2014, Best Lawyers again named him Lawyer of the Year, this time in the category of Mergers and Acquisition Law. Ben’s transactional skill and experience combined with his deep knowledge of business insolvency and reorganization law make him uniquely qualified to counsel clients in the most challenging and complex business acquisitions.
